Harmony in the Body of Christ

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We all know and believe that Jesus Christ said, as recorded in the book of John;

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."

In Matthew, when asked which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses, Jesus responded;

" 'To love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul and mind'. This is the first and greatest commandment."

"A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'. All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."

In the book of John, this second equally important commandment is somewhat repeated;

"So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples."

I believe that when my life is over here, it will not matter what I've done wrong, said wrong, thought wrong, done right, said right, thought right, didn't do, didn't say , or didn't think; but because I believe that Jesus did what He did to remove my sins, that we will be with Him forever, no strings attatched. I remind myself of this from time to time remembering a phrase, "naked I stand before you, Lord"

Currently, when I am able, I try to love others by trying to improve the quality of life for others without asking for recognition or compensation, regardless if I will ever meet them and regardless of what their beliefs are, at this time.Quite possibly, my calling may be more subtle than yours, and I'm most greatful to God to be a part of His world at this time.

I'm asking for your help at this time to mend the Body of Christ. God does get angry from time to time and I believe He is angry now, for the way our denominations sects, or churches, each in their own way, proclaim Salvation through Christ, try to love God, but too often seem to hate each other for petty variances. I say petty because I believe the foundation of a Christian denomination, sect, or church is:

1)Salvation through Christ

2)Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and

Is this not the foundation of Christianity, and by denominations, sects, and churches not accepting one another enough, are we not sending the wrong message to this, His world?

Jesus said there are many rooms/mansions in His Fathers house, and yet here on earth we seem to be trying to put additions on our seperate mansions.

Can we all recognize, for once, that we (each denomination, sect, church, and individual), by faith and trust in God, accept and respect our differences and realize we all have in common: 1) Salvation, 2) Love for God, and 3) Love for one another?

The church is said to be the body of Christ. In a human body, there are imperfections, from our perspective, we are not perfect. Also in a human body, no two parts are identicle, each part has it's own purpose. So it is with the Body of Christ. How long will God allow us to think or believe that our denomination, sect, or church we attend,(ie: the knee bone), is the one true Body of Christ?

I believe, we believe.

Harmony in the Body of Christ.
